ACES Advancement

ACES Annual Fund

A major goal for the College is to provide support for infrastructure in order to meet the needs of teaching, research, and outreach by increasing Annual Funds support.

The College of ACES Annual Fund was formally established in the early 1980s as a way for alumni and friends to provide unrestricted support to the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences. Today, numerous giving levels provide a range of opportunities to make continued excellence possible at the College of ACES. These monies allow the Dean and Department Heads to respond to changing needs as they arise and to allocate resources where they can best benefit students and faculty. The monies provided to the College of ACES Annual Fund are used to:

  • provide over $1 million in merit-based scholarship to our students. This type of student aid allows the College to recruit the brightest and most talented prospective students
  • support faculty research
  • provide funding for the nearly 30 ACES student organizations
  • support academic programs including: minority outreach activities, ACES Council and support for undergraduate teaching
  • provide funding for student field trips and international travel
  • enrich the quality of education and advising through the Academy of Teaching Excellence program
  • enhance the College's national reputation by hosting lectures and visiting scholars
